Privacy Policy

Effective September 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Stewardship collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit stewardship.pro, fill out one of our forms, book an appointment, use a secure link we send you, or connect an account. “Stewardship,” “we,” and “us” mean Stewardship Mortgage LLC, Stewardship Insurance LLC, Stewardship Planning LLC, Stewardship Realty LLC, The Illuminate Group, LLC (dba Stewardship Financial), and Stewardship Productions LLC.

If you become a client of one of our companies, you will also receive that company’s privacy notice under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. For the information that company holds about you as a client, that notice governs where it differs from this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form, request a quote, book an appointment, or apply for a service, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address. When you become a client, we may also collect the information that service requires, such as your date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license, employment and income, assets and debts, property and policy details, beneficiaries, and, for health, Medicare, or life insurance, health information you choose to provide.

Information from others, with your permission or as the law allows. This includes credit reports when you apply for a loan, policy and account information from insurance carriers, lenders, and custodians, and financial account information you choose to share through Plaid (see “Connecting your financial accounts” below).

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers collect information such as your browser type, device, pages visited, and how you arrived at our site, using cookies and similar tools (see “Cookies, analytics, and advertising” below).

How we use your information

• To provide the services you ask for, such as a loan, an insurance policy, a financial plan, an estate plan, or a home purchase or sale
• To verify your identity and your financial information
• To respond to your questions and requests
• To send you information about your accounts and, if you have not opted out, about other services we offer
• To improve our website and services
• To meet our legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations and to prevent fraud

Connecting your financial accounts (Plaid)

When you apply for a mortgage with Stewardship Mortgage, you may choose to connect your bank account instead of sending us statements. Connecting is always optional. If you do, we use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to gather your data from financial institutions. By using our service, you grant Stewardship and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from your relevant financial institution. You agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy, available at https://plaid.com/legal/#end-user-privacy-policy.

You sign in to your bank through Plaid or through your bank’s own sign-in page. Stewardship never sees or stores your bank username or password. We receive only what your loan requires, such as account owner information, balances, and a report of recent activity for the accounts you choose, and we use it only to verify your funds and identity for your loan and share it only with your lender. Our access ends at the earliest of your loan closing, your application being denied or withdrawn, 12 months after you connected, or within one business day of your request to disconnect.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to serve you or as the law requires:

• With the lenders, insurance carriers, custodians, title and escrow companies, and other parties involved in a service you asked for
• With service providers who work on our behalf, such as our technology, document storage, e-signature, email, and account verification providers, who must protect your information and use it only for the work we give them
• Among the Stewardship companies, so that one team can serve your household. Your client privacy notice explains your choices about how our companies use this information for marketing
• When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or a regulator’s examination, or to protect against fraud
• With a successor, if one of our companies is sold or merged, subject to this policy

How we protect your information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. These include encryption of information in transit and at rest, additional field-level encryption of Social Security, driver’s license, bank, and card numbers, multi-factor sign-in for every employee, access limited by role, and logs of who views sensitive information. Our website is scanned regularly for vulnerabilities and malware.

How long we keep your information

We keep information as long as needed to serve you and as long as the law requires. Many of our records must be kept for a set number of years after a loan closes or a policy ends; for example, Arizona requires us to keep mortgage loan files for at least five years, and we keep them for seven. When a record reaches the end of its retention period, it is reviewed and securely destroyed unless the law or an open matter requires us to keep it longer.

Your choices and requests

• Email. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of each email. We will still send messages about your accounts and services.
• Access, correction, and deletion. You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will delete information we are not required by law to keep, and we will tell you what we must keep and for how long.
• Connected accounts. You can disconnect a financial account at any time by contacting us, and we will end our access within one business day.

To make any of these requests, contact us using the information below.
