Podcast 111 - Leaving a Real Legacy

Leaving a Real Legacy

“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.”

Proverbs 13:22

We all want to leave our families better off when we pass. So why do we wait until we’re older to plan for this? Estate planning is more than a set of documents and legalese. It is a process that is best started early. And it’s not just about the documents or the plan, but it’s about equipping your children to handle what you leave them so they can steward it just as well if not better than you did. It’s vital that we talk without kids about money. Start the conversations early, there’s no need to keep your finances a private matter. You and your spouse can invite your kids into the process.

In today’s podcast, Grant and Jeremy discuss the mindset you should have around financial planning and go through some practical steps, including the difference between a will and a trust and how you can set yourself up to leave an amazing financial legacy for your family.
