At Stewardship, we love people through finances. We have an amazing team that is on a mission to serve people well in this way.

Recently we decided to promote two of our employees to brand new positions! We are excited about the growth and all the new ways our team will be able to focus their efforts on serving others. What a blessing!!! That said, we need to hire two Mortgage Advisor Assistant to fill the positions being vacated by the promotions.

This is where you come in. We are looking for flex-time (about 30 hours a week) help with assistant and administrative type work. A small sampling of the type of work that needs to be done is as follows:

• Organizing documents
• Data entry
• Critically analyzing data to ensure it meets guidelines/standards
• Ensure home loan files are compliant and properly filed
• Drink the nitro cold brew, regular cold brew, or sparkling tea we have on tap in the office
• Take “field trips” with the other MAAs to local coffee shops and other fun places for “Team Building”

Yes. You read that right. We do have a kegerator in the office with unlimited coffee and tea. But we don’t stop there. We also have comfy couches and video games in the break room. Rocket League anyone? We also require that you hang out with your co-workers during office hours. We have an amazing team of the most selfless and friendly people around. You get to help make sure that your relationships with these folks are enhanced by doing fun things on the company dime. We really are a family.

How You’ll Work at Stewardship

We work really hard to make working at Stewardship an amazing experience. In addition, we have a team of truly exceptional people that have genuine care for one another. Relationships are a key to what we do – externally with our customers and internally with each team member.  Here is how it operates:

The Best and Most Flexible Schedule Ever

This position starts at 30ish hours a week. The “ish” is there because the hours worked depend on the number of people in our community we are serving through home loans and the speed at which you work. Some weeks could be less, and some could be more. Either way, this position does not permit work more than 40 hours a week.

Our “office hours” are 9 am to 6 pm, but you get to pick when you want to work. For example, if you are a Mom with kids who go to school, you can take your kids to school in the morning, show up to work after that, and then leave work in time to pick them back up from school. Many of our MAAs work a schedule that is similar to 830am to 3 pm. That said if you have things going on at home that afternoon, and you want to work an earlier day – do it! Come on in at 6 am and leave at Noon. If you have something going on in the morning and you want to come in late – great! Come in at noon at leave at 6 pm. Bottom line, as long as you are getting the work done you can choose what your workday looks like.

Take Breaks, Watch Netflix, and Play Games

This job requires that you work in front of a computer. We do our best to provide for you an awesome setup. Each MAA has a 50in 4k monitor that allows multiple windows open at once. This is done to ensure you are able to complete your tasks quickly, but also to allow you to have fun while you work. It is very common to see Stewardship team members binge watch Netflix shows, scroll through social media, play games, and more while working. You need to enjoy your job. Sometimes administrative work is not super enjoyable. It is hard work and can get boring. So, we want you to have the liberty to entertain yourself while you work.

Up Your Game

We are serious about helping you become a master of your craft. Yes, we give you a gigantic monitor, but we want to give you any other piece of equipment that might make you better at your job. It could be something small like a special pen you like to use, or something bigger like the latest and greatest software because you know it will make you better at your job. It doesn’t matter. We all work hard. Serving people and selflessly putting others needs above your own through a mortgage transaction is not easy. That is why we will do whatever we can to provide you with the tools, equipment, and training so that you are good at your job. We want you coming to work feeling like you are awesome at what you do.

One immediate training you will be able to take advantage of is an all expenses paid trip to be trained by one of our lending partners. This trip is to Detroit…. So, it’s not Hawaii or anything, but it the best training in the country and it will prep you well to soon become a master of your craft.

Put Family First

You must ALWAYS (in a friendly, ALL CAPS YELLING way) put your family before Stewardship. We take this seriously. If you get a text or call from a family member in the middle of work, and you need to be with that family member – do it! If a child is sick at home, and you need to be home with them – stay home! Stewardship will always support you putting your family first. Will we miss you when you are gone? YES! You will be a vital member of our team. We need dependable people who we can count on to be a part of the team. However, everyone at Stewardship chooses to love you and your family before loving the work you do.

Although you would be an employee of Stewardship and part of the entire Stewardship Team, you would primarily be a Mortgage Advisor Assistant for either Greg Suiter or Jarred Kuiper. Required Experience and Certifications

None. That’s right. You do not need any industry experience, prior work history, certifications, or licenses. The primary prerequisite to working at Stewardship is being able to genuinely put others needs before your own. You need to be selfless.

Other than that, you need to be an organized self-motivator that is willing to occasionally put Greg or Jarred in their place with the goal of assisting them in loving people well.

Other Tidbits

We have a bonus plan based on the number of families we are able to impact in our community. Everyone on the Team, including you as an assistant, has the opportunity to share in the financial benefits of the work put in. This bonus is on top of the salary.

We’re all adults. There’s no need for rigid work hours, scheduled breaks, and lunches. If you need to leave early, just ask. If you need to take a longer break or lunch, do it. As long as you are getting your stuff done, and all the customers are properly being loved through a mortgage, that is all that matters. Put other’s needs first, do your job well, and have freedom in it.
